Oyster Consulting (Bermuda) Presents AML Lecture: Designated Non-Financial Businesses & Professions
Oyster Consulting (Bermuda) Ltd Consultant Henry M. Komansky, J.D., presented another in his very popular series of lectures on 2nd November 2016 discussing the Designated Non-Financial Businesses & Professions impacted by the changes to the Proceeds of Crime Amendment Act 2015 which came into effect on 1st January, 2016.
This new annual requirement for all Designated Non-Financial Business & Professions to complete an AML Audit includes all Corporate Services Providers who have recently undergone their own licensing requirements. In addition to newly-licensed Corporate Service Providers, both Real Estate Agents and High Value Dealers will also be impacted by the new annual AML audit requirement.
Alison Morrison, Managing Director of Oyster Consulting (Bermuda) commented that, “Oyster’s series of Lunch and Learn sessions have been oversubscribed and are very popular with compliance professionals in all regulated sectors. The last one, to be held on 7th December, 2016, has been fully subscribed since September and we have been delighted with the interest shown in this important requirement. This final session will focus on AML Audit and Compliance Programs to round out the series.”
