Oyster Consultants to Speak at WAIS (Bermuda) Conference
Oyster Managing Director Hank Sanchez and Consultant Henry Komansky will be panelists at the World Alternative Investment Summit (WAIS) this week, held at the Fairmont Southampton Hotel in Southampton, Bermuda.
Hank Sanchez will address the current SEC regulatory environment and anticipated rule changes on Friday during the Global and Bermuda Regulatory Debate panel. Hank brings over 30 years of securities industry experience in the areas of Legal and Compliance, to his role as a Managing Director at Oyster. Hank has worked with multiple clients varying in size from national to smaller financial firms. His expertise has been engaged to act as contract Chief Compliance Officer for both broker-dealers and investment advisers, analyze compliance programs, assess product due diligence, develop a Conflicts of Interest program, testify as an expert witness, act as an Independent Consultant on regulatory matters, and consult on a wide variety of issues.
Henry Komansky will be discussing offshore fund issues from a compliance standpoint on Thursday. Henry is an attorney with 10 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, specializing in compliance and, in particular, anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing (AML/CFT). He has held executive positions in an international banking group, a long-term life insurance company, and Bermuda’s Financial Intelligence Agency. Henry also served as an international law firm’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer. Henry has also presented several educational luncheons about the new AML regulations in Bermuda.
